About The Responsible Reptile Breeders Club
Let us be the first to tell you that the RRBC is a constant work in progress, our mission is to be the singular source for consumers
to find responsible breeders and sellers of reptiles, arachnids, and the suppliers of products to properly house and care for these animals.
Our directory only allows sites that follow a strict set of simple guidelines set forth by the staff at the RRBC, ALL listings are all
approved manually, and listed breeders are given a special RRBC seal to display on their website to show potential buyers that they
have passed the set of guidelines set forth by the rrbc to ensure only the highest quality breeders and animals are available to the
consumer through our site. below you will find the guidelines for becoming an approved RRBC breeding member, supply seller, or
listing a community site.
Breeder Guidelines
- Breeder must offer a guaranty for animal health / live delivery if shipping!
- Breeder must denote captive breed or ensure buyer knows animal is wild caught!
- Breeder must display a shipping policy.
- Breeder must maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary facility for all breeding animals and animals for sale.
- Breeder will breed only for the purpose of improving the quality of the breed and conscientiously plan each clutch for sale.
- Breeder must not breed any male or female until they are both physically and mentally mature, and Breeder will not continue to breed any male or female beyond an appropriate age for the breed.
- Breeder will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed, nor falsely advertise, or mislead any person regarding the reptile for sale.
- Breeder must refrain from releasing any animal until it has met the appropriate age for the breed.
- Breeder must keep accurate records and should retain those records for a minimum of five years.
- Breeder will not deliberately degrade any other breeders, their animals, or their husbandry techniques.
- I will be honest and ethical in my financial dealings with buyers.
- Breeder must offer easy to use contact information.
- Breeder must offer a care sheet for EVERY species of animal they breed and sell.
- Breeder should proudly display the RRBC seal to ensure consumers know they are a top breeder!
Community Site Guidelines
- Site MUST provide a link back to the RRBC for free links (we suggest the seal)
- Site must focus on community, not selling products/animals
- Only one free link allowed per Community - no exceptions
Supply Site Guidelines
- Site should proudly display the RRBC seal to ensure consumers
know they are a top supply seller!
- Site must allow easy access to customer service.
- Only one link allowed per site.
- NO AFFILIATE LINKS ALLOWED, one exception is the site sponsor
links, information is available in your members area on obtaining
a sponsor slot.
